We have now finalised the calendar for the year. Last year we increased the amount of training time for existing members and this year we are increasing that again. We recognise that people want to improve and we want to help you. Last year saw membership rise to 106, an increase of nearly 20%, again. Clearly windsurfing is on the up and up in the East Midlands, and if you want to be part of it TWC is the place to be.
Lots of exciting stuff to look forward to.
We had a great turnout at the National Watersports Festival at Rutland last year and we will be there in force again this year. We’ll be taking the gazebo, we’ll have the BBQ lit and there’ll be a nice pale ale on tap. Lots to see and do, tickets will be on sale shortly so make sure to get yours.
Club members will already have been informed about our summer trip, this year to Alacati in Turkey departing 30th June. We also hope to arrange a short trip to Sotovento again for intermediate/advanced sailors. The Tiree trip will be in September and we’ll get more info out to club members later in the year. Want to come along?, to be sure of a place, join the club!….
New this year is the Saturday Club Days. Rather than a weekday evening this year we are trying all day monthly events at the lake. We will be organising some events, inviting the public to come and see what we’re about, lighting the BBQ, possibly camping if the weathers nice, get the tandems out, maybe even some informal racing if the wind is good. But whatever is going on it will be a great social occasion and the chance for members to get together.
