Something special for the Jim Collis Training Weekend.

Last Saturday I started a brew for the club campover at Rutland, weekend of the 2nd/3rd July, the Jim Collis Training Weekend. This is an American style Pale Ale, christened ‘Chop Hop’, 5% ish, liberally hopped with Amarillo and Citra hops, quite bitter so not to everyone’s taste but jam packed full of interesting flavours and a slight residual sweetness to balance the hop bitterness. If you like Doom Bar, then this is probably not for you!! There will be approx 4½ gallons, enough for at least one pint for every club member who camps on the Saturday night.

Its been merrily fermenting away since Sunday morning. More dry hops will go in this weekend then it will sit for a while before being racked into a pressure vessel for serving.

Make sure you keep that weekend clear for a great time at Rutland. We will be there from the afternoon on Friday for all those who want to arrive Friday night, BBQ will be lit for Saturday night for all members to use.
