We are very pleased to announce that, finally, we have a new lease for both the West and East lakes, for 10 years. This gives us unfettered access to the West lake (boggy ground not withstanding) for excellent sailing in Southerly and Southwestery winds.
We also now have permission to prune shrubs to an agreed plan on the East lake spit and this is in hand to be carried out this autumn. We will engage a contractor for this work, its far too much work to be undertaken by volunteers.
The granting of the lease also allows us to proceed with other momentous plans for the club, more of which soon…..
