The club has access to two lakes. Access is available all year round in all hours of daylight.
Our traditional lake where we have our containers and changing rooms we call the East lake. In recent years we have had informal access to another lake which is much better in South to Southwesterly winds. This we call the West lake. In our new lease access to the West Lake has been formalised and is now available at all times weather permitting (the ground can get boggy and care must be taken).
You can find both lakes from the Location Map pages.
We have a unisex changing room (with a lock on the door!) and toilets. We like to keep the organisation of the club very informal and so we do not have a duty roster of key holders and cleaners so it is vital that these are locked when the last person leaves.
In our changing room block we also have racks for our club equipment. We can accommodate 10 boards and rigs here. We have 8 beginner boards and rigs ready to go, available for all to use. Unfortunately we do not have room to store members equipment at the moment.
We have a rescue boat which will only be out on the water when we are running training courses or holding major events. We have a club tandem which is available for all to use. This is stored in the secure lockup so if you would like to use it please ask a committee member to open up.
The club has a very heavy duty pop-up gazebo with quickly attachable sides, which we take with us on trips. It serves as our communal assembly point, dining and BBQ area and some protection from inclement weather.
Club members are welcome to use the club grounds for camping or indeed bring their caravan or camper van. Guests are welcome to join them. This is a very peaceful location and in summer is completely idyllic with lovely walks and bike rides in the countryside yet only a mile or so from urban shops. BBQ’s are welcome.
